Keeping it simple doesn't mean keeping it boring. At first, The 2016 Charge Cooker Midi 1 Hard Tail Mountain Bike looks like a pretty simple ride that doesn't need much maintenance, and that's good. But look again. There are some upgrades for this year that put it squarely in the performance camp, even at an entry level price. A single speed drivetrain keeps things simple and efficient, while a fully rigid, suspension-corrected fork and 27.5" wheels help you fine tune riding skills and improve efficiency. And if you're the kind of rider who loves off road but likes the occasional pavement ride too, the Cooker Midi 1 is your ride. The Cooker Midi 1 is a well thought out blend of performance and affordability and is equipped with dependable, proven components. The lightweight, stiff 6061 butted aluminum frame and aluminum fork are lightweight yet rugged, creating an efficient combination for transferring your power on a climb or a trail. As you become more proficient, the suspension corrected fork can be upgraded for even more challenging terrain to hone your skills on. Power transfer is through a single speed drivetrain with FSA Megatooth 30T crankset and a SRAM 11-36T 10-speed cogset. This gearing combination strikes an excellent balance for pretty much any trail: high enough to keep you from spinning out; low enough to help you get over most hills and rises. Braking is performed by a set of Tektro hydraulic discs with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors that can slow you down in any weather, any terrain. Another way the Midi 1 truly gives you a lot of bike for the buck are tubeless ready tires and rims. Once sealed the WTB Trailblazer 2.8" tires and Midi Charge 40mm SOAC rims enable you to run lower pressures, a little trick that makes for better traction and a beautiful handling bike. If you're looking for a simple, fast, and efficient mountain bike, then you've found it in the Cha
