This bike was created to offer great performance at a very affordable price. A rugged and lightweight 6061 aluminum frame and Suntour fork, combined with Shimano components, create a great trail ride that's also comfortable on pavement. The 6061 butted aluminum frame with tapered headtube balances lightness with optimal stiffness for hard accelerations and challenging trails. The SR Suntour Raidon LO-R 650b Plus fork features both rebound adjustment and lockout, which gives you the option to have a generous amount of travel over bumpy terrain, or to be completely locked out with the turn of a lever. That quickly the Midi 2 can go from trail-ready mount to a more civilized pavement ride. Frame and fork, of course, are just part of the handling story. Wheels and tires are crucial, too, and the Cooker Midi 2 is a completely different animal thanks to tubeless ready tires and rims. Add sealant and the WTB Trailblazer 2.8" tires seal beautifully to the WTB Scraper i45, tubeless ready rims, a combination that will allow you to run pressures lower than you may have thought possible. This marriage of wide tire to wide rim offers exhilarating traction and more float while still maintaining the handling to carve things up. Backing up this rugged foundation is a group of proven mountain components, anchored by the proven Shimano SLX. Power is driven to the rear wheel through an FSA Comet Megatooth, 30T crankset and an SRAM PG1020, 11-36T, 10-speed cassette. Braking duties, in all kinds of conditions, are handled by Tektro HDC-330 Calipers with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors.
