The Super Glider from Glide Bikes is the most versatile bike in our line-up containing features found in quality bicycles costing twice as much. This multi-purpose folding bike is constructed from lightweight 6061 aluminum alloy making it both strong and very portable. The Super Glider is designed for both kids and adults whether they already know how to ride a bike or if they're just learning. Thanks to it's highly adjustable telescopic handle bar system and seat post, Super Glider can be custom fit to most people from age 10 and up. It can be used solely as a balance bike to teach balance, strengthen motor skills, and coordination or as a traditional bicycle with a convenient folding design. Other applications include rehabilitation and physical therapy as well as helping those with special needs. The low step-through frame and pedal free capability allows patients with leg, hip, or foot injuries to slowly increase the weight placed on the injured area and have the ability to get around during recovery. If the Super Glider is going to be used in it's balance bike or "Glide" mode, the pedals easily fold out of the way and adjustable foot pegs can be swiveled into place with a tool-free quick release clamp. We also made the entire pedal and crank assembly removable by removing one bolt and one master chain link. This would be useful to save a few extra pounds if the bike is only going to be used as a glider/balance bike. This option also allows the bike to be ridden legally on sidewalks in most places. With the pedal assembly installed or removed, the Super Glider folds easily into a transportable size package in seconds without any tools. This unique feature allows the bike to fit in a closet at your workplace, car trunk, or packed up for air, rail, or bus travel.
